Gunung Kawi Bali

Gunung Kawi Sebatu is a sacred area with the Hindu temples surrounded by the fish pond and appointed as a place for to purify the body from evil influences. In addition to this, there are other Gunung Kawi in Gianyar Regency such as Gunung Kawi at Tampak Siring and Gunung Kawi Babirta which have its own charm. This place is located at Sebatu Village, Tegalalang District and Gianyar Regency. It is about 40 km from Denpasar City or 21 km from Gianyar Town. This tourist destination can be visited from Peliatan Village or Tampak Siring through a beautiful expanse of rice field, pass the village that have beautiful crafts especially the works of sculptures. Gunung Kawi Sebatu has big water resources that flows through the fountain located close to the temple. Except for agriculture purpose, the water is also able to meet the people needs of drink waters.

In the story said that at the time of the reign of Mayadenawa King, a ruthless king which is not believe with the god that this place that this place is the escape path for Mayadenawa King together with his followers to Taro Village. The escape process is occurring after a desperate position in a battle against the Gods at Besakih Village. Because of fear to the Gods and the people who pursue him, so they scuttled and slipped between the rocks. (sauh di Batu). Aware of innocent people in danger, then Lord Vishnu give the source of life for those innocent people in form of holy water. As the attitude expression from the people, then this place was built a temple as a shrine to worship to Lord Vishnu which is now known as Gunung Kawi Sebatu which is completed by several fountains includes holy water, shower etc. 
Tourist Destinations

Here, we have not found much the public facilities for tourist yet, except the drinks and food stalls. The visit to Gunung Kawi Sebatu is slowdown increasing especially on the day time as a stopover point on the trip to Pujung Village. The visitor can enjoy the beautiful panorama of nature at this place.

Sebatu Village has been long known by the tourists because it produces the high quality sculptures and shows the attractive local style. Sebatu and Pujung Village have the artists or the highly talented sculptors those are producing the wooden sculptures and other quality souvenirs. The artist at Pujung Vilage also shows their works with their own style, that way there is no any surprise that the visitors are continuously increase to come from year to year.

Batubulan Village

Batu Bulan is located approximately10 km from Denpasar and 17 km from Gianyar city. Batubulan village bordering the village Celuk and Singapadu have similarities in terms of art, namely the art of dance and sculpture. Based on characteristic on form of its statue Batubulan has its own shape and somewhat extreme if compared with each other. This can be seen clearly in carving carved on the sacred buildings , homes, offices, bridges, hotels, restaurants, and other that you couldn’t find in other place.
